The Wet Pail Storage Method:

Purchase a pail preferable with a lid.
Fill pail with cold water 3/4 full and add one of the following additives solutions mentioned below, this helps in removing stains and unpleasant odor. Wet (urine) diapers need no rinsing just place diapers into pail. Remove stools into the toilet bowl then rinse soiled diapers before placing into pail. Wash diapers within 3 days.

*Rinse diaper pail before refilling; Be sure to disinfect diaper pail at least once a week.


Additives Solutions

 Use only one of the following additives to use in the wet pail storage:
  • 1/2 cup of borax (natural deodorizer, whitens, softens water)
  • 1/2 - 1 cup of vingear (disinfects & softens)
  • 1/2 - 1 cup of vingear (disinfects &softens)
  • 1/2 cup of baking soda (deodorizes & softens)
  • 1/4 cup of washing soda (sodium carbonate) - (whitens, softens water)
